Torrey Pines Golf

Torrey Pines, San Diego

This pandemic has interrupted our travels and impacted our lives in ways we never could've imagined! South America and Germany were part of the 2020 plan... but thanks to Covid and people who don't want to wear a fucking mask shit has changed!

I do have alternatives tho.... ROAD TRIPS! For The Husband's birthday last month I surprised him with a golf trip to the PGA course in Torrey Pines. Let me be clear, I haven't experienced golf enough to know about different courses because golf really isn't my thing. The appreciation is just not there but, this was not about me it was about The Husband and his birthday!

However, after being on this course I realized how shitty the few courses I have been to are... and I have definitely frowned at the local courses since then.

As with most things.... once you've tasted the best do you really want to go backwards?

We stayed at the Lodge in Torrey Pines which is on the same property as the course. This is an older hotel which I'm sure is appealing to legit golfers. It's a spot where men go to have golf trips and that's what it feels like. Old, woodsy, clubby, dark... and very masculine. It served it's purpose and The Husband loved it.
